Our Mission

More Than Apparel

Five Percent Capacity Apparel was created with a purpose: to raise awareness of PTSD and the unseen challenges carried by first responders, military members, veterans, and others who serve their communities.

Our clothing represents resilience, strength, connection, and the courage to keep moving forward—even on the days when you feel like you are operating at only five percent capacity.

We believe apparel can do more than make a statement. It can begin conversations, challenge stigma, and remind people that not every battle is visible.

Made for First Responders. Worn by Everyone.

Although our mission is deeply connected to the first responder community, our apparel is made for everyone who believes in supporting mental health awareness.

Every person who wears Five Percent Capacity helps carry the message beyond the uniform. They help create opportunities for honest conversations about PTSD, mental health, trauma, and the importance of supporting those who spend their lives helping others.

You do not have to be a first responder to stand behind the mission.

Working Toward Greater Awareness

Five Percent Capacity Apparel will continue working to increase awareness through meaningful designs, educational content, community involvement, partnerships, and storytelling.

Our goal is to help build a community where people feel seen, supported, and reminded that asking for help is a sign of strength—not weakness.

We are committed to representing PTSD responsibly and respectfully. We want our brand to recognize the realities of trauma while also standing for resilience, hope, and connection.

Supporting the Five Percent Capacity Foundation

Five Percent Capacity Apparel and the Five Percent Capacity Foundation will operate as separate organizations while working toward a shared purpose. Five Percent Capacity Apparel will operate as a for-profit business, while the foundation will operate independently as a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing our shared mission.

The apparel company will focus on creating purpose-driven clothing, building awareness, and growing a community around the mission. The foundation will focus on charitable initiatives, education, advocacy, community programs, and support for those affected by PTSD and occupational stress injuries.

As the foundation develops, Five Percent Capacity Apparel will look for responsible and transparent ways to support its work through awareness campaigns, approved collaborations, fundraising initiatives, and other forms of community support.

Any financial contributions, fundraising campaigns, or product-related donations connected to the foundation will be clearly identified so our customers understand how their support is being used.

Be the Mission. Wear the Mission.

Five Percent Capacity is more than a name. It represents the reality that even when someone feels they have very little left to give, they are still here, still moving, and still worthy of support.

By wearing Five Percent Capacity Apparel, you are helping bring unseen battles into the light. You are helping make conversations about PTSD more visible. Most importantly, you are reminding others that they do not have to carry everything alone.

Not every battle is visible.
Be the mission. Wear the mission.
