Launch of 5% Capacity Apparel

Launch of 5% Capacity Apparel

NOT EVERY BATTLE IS VISIBLE.

As we get ready to launch the full Five Percent Capacity Apparel website this November, I want to share the meaning behind the name.

Five Percent Capacity grew from my own experience living with PTSD—from having very little capacity left for people and everyday demands, while trying to explain something others couldn’t see.

That five percent became a way to put the experience into words. It also became the starting point for this brand.

Our mission is to raise PTSD awareness, encourage honest conversations, and build connection for first responders and their families. Because what happens on shift can follow someone home—and the people beside them carry part of that weight, too.

That same purpose guides what we’re building through the Five Percent Capacity Foundation.

Some of our designs speak directly to those struggles. Others bring humour and personality. There’s room for both. Sometimes a message on a hoodie can help start a conversation that’s difficult to begin.

Made for first responders. Worn by everyone.

Whether this mission connects with your own experience, someone you love, or something you believe in, you belong here.

Thank you for being part of what we’re building.

Be the mission. Wear the mission.
